Future-Proofing for Media
The goal isn't just a cleaner TV installation today — it's planning the infrastructure properly before the walls are closed up.

The Insight
I install recessed TV boxes inside the wall cavity so the wiring, plugs, and connections sit behind the finished surface instead of pushing the TV outward. I also run conduit inside the wall to wherever the home's media or equipment systems will eventually live, allowing cables to be upgraded or replaced later without opening finished walls. The framing, backing, and electrical layout are all planned during rough-in so the TV can sit almost completely flush to the wall once installed.
Why It Matters
Most TVs are treated as an afterthought once the room is already finished. Planning for them during framing and rough-in creates a much cleaner final result with less visual bulk and no exposed wiring. Running conduit inside the wall also allows future upgrades without cutting into finished surfaces later.
